* In order to take advantage of the CGS member rates, you will need to upload your Canadian Geotechnical Society annual membership receipt at the bottom of this page. Without valid proof, you will be charged the difference between the non-member and member packages.

* In order to take advantage of the student rates, you will need to upload valid student proof at the bottom of this page. Valid student proof includes, but is not limited to, the full schedule for the current semester, payment receipt for full-time registration for the current semester, or a letter from your program director attesting to your student status. Without valid proof, you will be charged the difference between the non-student and student packages.

USE OF PERSONAL DATA

By registering for the Geohazards 8 Conference, I consent to the information deemed necessary being disclosed to the Organizing Committee, and to receiving electronic communications relating to the progress of the event.
 
I understand that the organization may take photos and/or videos in which I appear during the event. The organization could use this material for:
- promotion for the next editions;
- educational use;
- upcoming activities and events;
- promotional material such as printed and/or electronic documents; and
- website and social media platforms.

CANCELLATION AND MODIFICATION POLICY

Cancellation
You may cancel your registration until May 31, 2022. Refunds, minus $95.00 for administration fees, will be made after the Conference has been held. If the cancellation request is received after May 31,2022, no refund will be possible. However, you may transfer your registration to another person until June 9, 2022.

Convert in-person registration to virtual registration
Your in-person registration may be changed to a virtual registration until May 31, 2022. The difference between the rates will be refunded after the Conference has been held. After May 31, 2022 up to June 9 2022, you may change the registration from in-person to virtual without refund.

Convert virtual registration to in-person registration
Your virtual registration may be changed to in-person registration until May 31, 2022. The difference between the rates will be charged after the change has been processed.

All requests for cancellation or changes in registration must be made by email to georisques8@agoraopus3.com. No refund will be given to participants who did not show up or connect to the event. Under no circumstances can the organization be held responsible for the reimbursement of related costs incurred by participants for their participation to the event (hotel, transport, visa, etc.).

VACCINE PASSPORT

Depending on government health recommendations in place at the time of the Conference, delegates registering for the in-person Conference might be required to present a valid vaccine passport upon arrival at the Musée de la civilisation. In that case, it will not be possible to access the Conference without a valid proof of vaccination.
 

POSSIBILITY OF CHANGE OF EVENT FORMAT

It is impossible for us to know at this stage the health measures that will be in force at the time of the Conference. The number of places available in-person mode is therefore subject to change. We will try to make the decisions that will have the least impact for the participants and this, as soon as possible in order to facilitate your logistics of participation in the event. The organization is not responsible for the costs incurred in the event of a change, please subscribe to the necessary insurance.
